While not a number, my answer is "several". Just a pack of dogs used to take on a bear, so shall the mentality pass against a T-Rex.

While purported to be the King of Lizards, it is still one against many, and with those tiny arm-look-a-likes, the T-Rex is screwed. It'll get some of the bears, but attrition will wear it down until the bear army can deliver the final blow.

That's fair, just let me say something that many others I have asked hadn't thought of. Remember, although the T-rex has basically useless arms, it makes up for it with its tail.

Very dangerous part of its body. No telling how many bears it would just fling away with something like that.

In light of this possibility I would need to upgrade the number from "several" to "at least a dozen bears that are fit, experienced in taking down larger targets and relatively uninjured".

All it would take is one. Allow me to explain-

Fact: bears eat beets.
Bears.
Beets.
Battlestar Galactica.
